The image tells a simple but sad story of the the snow princess in her melancholy, as the fire god crowns his new queen. I did this piece after reading up on a comicbook called Fables. The coverwork done by James Jean is just simply amazing. I loved how he combined illustration and design and complicated and simplified forms. This piece is heavily inspired by his artworks.

This piece was done in both photoshop and painter. Lines were done in painter as i find its rotate tool invaluable for making proper lines, just like being able to rotate a piece of paper in order to work at comfortable ange. The colors and post processing were done entirely in photoshop.
